Terms of service

These terms govern your use of HandOffAgent. By creating an account or paying for a subscription you agree to them. If you use HandOffAgent on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind that company.

The service

HandOffAgent indexes source repositories you connect and provides shareable AI chat gateways that answer questions grounded in that code. Plans differ in repository count, monthly AI message pool, white-labelling and overage options as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

Your content

You retain all rights to your code and data. You grant us only the limited license needed to index, store and process it to operate the service. You are responsible for having the rights to any repository you connect and for what you choose to expose through share links — including configuring the privacy controls appropriately.

Acceptable use

• No illegal content, malware distribution or infringement of others' rights.
• No attempts to extract other customers' data or to circumvent usage limits.
• No reselling of the service itself (white-labelled client gateways are fine — that's the point).
• No abusive automated traffic against share links.

Subscriptions & billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. If enabled by you, pay-as-you-go overages are metered per additional AI message at the rate of your plan. When a subscription lapses, your dashboard and client gateways lock until it is renewed; your data is retained per the privacy policy. Refunds are handled per our refund policy.

AI disclaimer

Answers are generated by AI grounded in your repository. They can be incomplete or wrong. The service is provided for informational support and does not constitute professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing what your gateways can reveal.

Availability & changes

We aim for high availability but the service is provided “as is” without uptime guarantees. We may improve or change features, and will not materially reduce what your paid plan includes during a paid period without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Termination

You can cancel anytime from the billing page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, the privacy policy's retention rules apply.
